Motiejus Samsonas '24 Recruiting Profile

Hello,  

My name is Motiejus Samsonas, and I’m from Vilnius, Lithuania. I'm an 18-year-old senior and I play soccer at Rabun Gap Nacoochee School located in Rabun Gap, GA. My team finished its last season with a record of 19-1-1, and we are the State champions of North Carolina. I finished the season with 15 goals and 13 assists and have been recognized as an All-Conference and an All-Region player. My main position is a center-attacking midfielder, but I can play anywhere in the midfield. I am a right-footed player who likes to play as a floating number ten, linking the defense with offense, by playing through balls or just carrying the ball at my feet, with a strong dribble through the middle of the park.  

Before coming to Rabun Gap, I played for FC Vilnius Zalgiris, B, and C teams. Back in Lithuania I have, won the national championship two years in a row and have been invited to attend a few youth national team camps. My current GPA is 4.5. As a senior, I'm taking four AP classes this year. I have received High Head of School Honor for every one of my trimesters at my current high school. In my junior year, I received an award for outstanding achievements in the Pre-Calculus class. My SAT score is 1280. In both of my seasons at Rabun Gap, I was a starting player and have been a part of two consecutive North Carolina State Champion teams.
