I’m Keane Palmer - a Senior at 'Iolani School, a private college preparatory school in Honolulu, Hawaii.
My 'Iolani School varsity soccer team won the 2023 Hawaii Division I State Championship in a penalty shootout in which I scored the last successful penalty as the starting Holding Midfielder. I was also named to the 2023 Hawaii Division I All-Tournament Team.
In the Fall of 2022, my Honolulu Bulls '04 club team won the Oahu League U19 Championship.
As a Holding Midfielder, I am versatile in both creating opportunities for our offense through my passing vision, depth of soccer knowledge, and technical skills which include my controlled first touch, range of passing, and ability to work in tight spaces, while shutting down opponents on defense through my anticipation of passes, physicality, and defensive work rate. I am also uniquely left-footed, which my coaches find useful for precise corner kicks and cutting inside for a curling shot on the right.
Other defining strengths are my stamina, discipline, and willingness to put in the work which I have displayed by winning the individual 2022 Hawaii Varsity Cross Country State Championship and being named the 2023 Hawaii Gatorade Player of the Year in Cross Country. I also helped to lead to my team's 2022 Cross Country State Championship as a Captain. Running at a high level has boosted my soccer game by giving me an extra kick and pushing through adversity.
My passion for playing soccer runs deep and drives me to push hard each day to realize my fullest potential as a soccer player. In addition, my enthusiasm for learning and strong work ethic have been instrumental in achieving a 3.71 GPA at 'Iolani. I look forward to continuing to grow as a player in a competitive collegiate soccer program at a rigorous academic institution.
