My name is Guiness Ruiz-Rockett,
I’m a 17-year-old who grew up on the soccer fields of Lahaina, a small community on the west side of Maui. I learned so much from my soccer community, from the Sunday games at the park that showed me how to love the sport, to the international camps I attended that taught me how far I could go. All of my experiences have made me the soccer player I am today, and I am prepared to take the next step.
I am a senior at Lahainaluna High School, I am a Hawaiian Language Immersion Program (HLIP) I have been in the program since kindergarten. I am focused and determined. I currently have a 3.8 GPA I am a hard worker, with good time management skills.
I have been playing soccer since I was four-years-old and club soccer since I was six. Currently, I play for Albion SC Hawaii.
I am #30 on Albion Sc Hawaii, and I typically play as the 10 and 6 for my club. My stronger foot is my right, but I’m able to use both. Quick Play is one of my strengths, and I am able to give good through balls. I train five times a week, and I always give 110 percent.
I am proud of my soccer accomplishments. To name a few, at 9 years old I went through a national camp and was selected to train at the prestigious West Ham Academy in London. At 12 years old, I was selected as a team member with Miso from Oahu to represent Hawaii for tournament play in Japan. At 14, I was selected to represent Hawaii Elite Soccer Association (HESA) to play with a Maui 06 Boys team in Spain, and this past summer I was selected for the west coast regional ODP camp and also played in the top division for 06’s in Surf Cup, and last season I won the HSFA State cup with rush Oahu.
Goals are important to me. My top goal is to go pro. My continuing education will help to support me on this path. I am grateful I got the opportunity to showcase myself to you.
