Marian Cozma '24 Recruiting Profile

As a dedicated and passionate soccer player, I am committed to continuously improving my skills and making a significant impact on the field. Throughout my journey, I have achieved numerous accomplishments and experiences that have shaped me into the player I am today. 

In 2024, I was honored to be recruited by Chicago Fire Academy, a testament to my hard work and determination. That same year, I had the incredible opportunity to play in the US Open Cup match for Chicago City USL2 against Chicago Fire, an experience that was both challenging and rewarding.

My training with USL2 Chicago City SC in both the summer of 2023 and the spring of 2022 has sharpened my skills and understanding of the game. As Francis W Parker's Varsity Captain in 2023, I led my team to an IHSA Regional Championship, showcasing my leadership abilities and technical abilities. My stats for Senior year speak volumes about my performance: 23 goals and 8 assists in 11 games during the 2023 season.

Additionally, my involvement with Sueno FC USL2, including an invitation to play in a friendly against Madison FC in 2023, highlights my versatility and adaptability in competitive environments. My long-term commitment to Chicago City SC from 2016 to 2023, where I was named MVP for four years, demonstrates my consistent high-level performance and dedication.

Being part of the FC Bayern Chicago Regional Team in 2019 and earning First Team All-Conference Senior year in 2023, and Second Team All-Conference Junior year honors in 2021 and 2022 further illustrate my ability to compete and excel at high levels.
