Jedidiah McCloud '20 Recruiting Profile

My name is Jedidah McCloud.  I am a Junior in high school, and I love playing soccer.  I am a versatile player on the Chicago Fire Soccer Academy U-19 team. As a high school freshman, I frequently started on varsity as a central midfielder.  I helped my Wheaton Academy (West Chicago, IL) team to a record of 16-2-3. I scored 5 goals and had 2 assists. After my freshman season was over, I started looking for more of a soccer challenge. I've always wanted to improve and become better.  I felt I wanted more of a challenge. I applied for an open tryout with the Chicago Fire Soccer Academy. I played really well at the tryouts, and the coach's liked how I played. After the 90 minute tryout was over they invited my to train with the team.  After one month of training with them, I was offered a roster spot! For me, coming from a local team coached by my Dad, to the Fire, was a dream come true. I had consistently worked hard to get to this. It felt amazing! I improved a lot from that first season.  My coach liked my versatility and was able to play me at all 6/8/10, as well as left back/ right back and winger too. Now I'm on the U19's and play a variety of positions. I am a very technical player with a very hard working mentality. I am always looking for ways to improve and get better at what I love. I also like school a lot.  I have been home-schooled my whole life, with one year of one class at Wheaton Academy. I am looking for a school that can help me reach my academic goals, and soccer goals. I would love to contribute to your teams goals and schools academic goals.
