Hello, My name is Alan Rico and my goal is to play soccer at a collegiate level. I have played soccer at a competitive level since I was 6 years old, and my goal then was to play at a professional position, to compete with the best of the best. It was a very ambitious goal, and I was so sure that I could do it, but I started grow, and I then started to understand, my goal is to go to college. I want to give back to other people, to get a profession and to be able to provide to those in need. I come from a big family, a family of 11, with 9 kids, 7 hard working and intelligent boys, and 2 very young and very determined girls.I am the oldest of the bunch, and they always look up to me as their role model, they always want to follow into my footsteps. I want for them to also go to college, to build a future for themselves. I have maintained a steady 3.1 GPA throughout high school, always trying to push myself in school, trying to keep the highest grade point average. I want to get a soccer scholarship, I have put so much effort and time, so much money into competing at other cities and states. I have traveled to 7+ states contending versus other teams. Soccer has been the one sport that I have focused on for the past 12 years, I know how demanding it can be. I have competed at President's Cup National tournament as well as other showcases. I have worked hard to achieve the goal of getting into college as an athlete. If you can help me achieve this, I would be forever thankful and would not let you down.
Thank you so much,
Alan Rico
