Owen Steinbeck '26 Recruiting Profile

Coaches,

My name is Owen Steinbeck. While I do not yet know what I would like to study in college, I do know that I would like to include college soccer into my experience. As with most players, I would love to play Division I, but also know that it may not be where I fit best. Ideally, I would like to be on a team of players like me that work hard, enjoy competition and have fun doing it. For me, the best parts of soccer are the relationships and competition.

Outside of soccer I am a member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes and volunteer for Special Olympics Illinois. In school, I am a high honor roll student and take multiple honors or AP classes each year.

My dad coached me in rec league and club soccer for 9 years. I learned how to work hard, focus, not talk back, and that effort in practice translates to performance in games. I play outside back, center back, and sometimes outside mid.

If you are looking for a left foot dominant, athletic back, that enjoys smart and physical play, you might want to consider me.
