I have always been considered by family and friends as someone with a high level of intensity, self discipline and self confidence. I push myself to be the best at everything I set my mind to whether it be soccer, roofing houses during the summer or focusing on my studies. I was fortunate to live overseas for three years beginning at the age of 6 where I developed a passion for playing soccer competitively. Whether I am on the pitch, in the classroom or at home, I take an active role in delivering results and motivating others to reach their potential.
Though I have always excelled in athletics, I struggled with a mild form of dyslexia during elementary school. It was challenging for me to excel in the classroom but over time, with tutoring, practice and patience, I have overcome this obstacle and now consistently achieve "A" grades in my classes. I have learned the value of perseverance and teamwork on the pitch, from my family and as I tackled dyslexia. As I finish my junior and senior years of high school, my goals remain the same; excel in academics, on the soccer pitch and in my day to day life. Collegiately, I plan to study engineering and focus on developing my soccer skill-set.
