Freshman Year Personal Statement
My name is Cohen Musschoot. I aspire to play collegiate soccer at the highest level and attend a school that can provide me with academic challenges as well. I play for Sockers F.C. in Chicago. My main position is defensive midfielder, but my strong understanding of the game enables me to play multiple positions effectively. I am an extremely dedicated and hardworking player who has a high personal standard that helps me succeed. My hard work and dedication on the field translates off the field where I attend Marian Catholic Central High School and am an honors student with a 4.52 GPA. I am looking for a University that will help me grow, not only academically and as a soccer player, but also as an individual.

This will help in the transition from defense to offense to use the through balls to directly get the ball behind the opposing defense.
