I started playing soccer when I was four years old at our local YMCA. It was at a YMCA event that a Rangers Academy coach saw me play. He spoke to my Mom about me joining their program. I started playing for the Rangers my U14 fall season. I joined my high school team as a freshman and continue to play for the Rangers in the Spring. When I was a sophomore, I became a varsity starter. It was a rough season, as we had lost all the starters from the previous season. I really learned a lot about myself that season. I learned to never give up, I needed to step up and be a leader, and there is always something I can do to make myself better for my team. I am always overlooked by coaches, teammates, and opponents because I am short. I have to show them what I can do on the field, which is fine with me. I love soccer. I believe my character, work ethic, and leadership skills can help any team.
