When it comes to soccer I like being able to work well with my team, and it is something I can do very efficiently. I am able to see the next play and I know where to go with the ball before it gets to me, which I believe is very essential. As an outside back it is very important to be able stay very composed when there is high pressure. In these moments, that is when you need to be able to stay calm and do what your team does best. That is also where I do very well, because I already see the next play, and I am aware of how to get out of a sticky situations when it gets tight. However, sometimes when it gets to it, a switch is needed to spread the offense and get the ball into open space. So I know how to recognize that and do it fast and efficiently.
As a defensive midfielder it is important to stay engaged with your defense and provide outlets to get the ball upfield. This is why I am quite skilled as a defensive midfielder. I recognize the space in between the defense, and check to the ball as an option to keep the play going. Occasionally, defensive midfielders will need to have good technical skills, because there will frequently be a player on their back. I know how important this is, so I am trained and ready to respond to these type of situations appropriately. I am also trained physically, and have very good endurance as required for this position. As sometimes it will be important to engage with the offense and the defense.
I also focus very hard on school, and do not settle for less. I take classes that will challenge me, and each year I strive to get "A's" in them no matter how hard they are. I have a good mindset of pushing forward and not giving up, because I know that for me to get the good parts in life, you will face adversity. Even though every game may not turn exactly how we want it to, they are all good learning lessons to learn for the next time.
