Matthew Troake '26 Recruiting Profile

My goal is to find a college soccer team that needs a versatile midfielder that adapts quickly to situations, someone who can play any position in the midfield. I started playing soccer at 3 years old and was a defender until 12 years old when I transitioned into playing in the midfield. I play as a midfielder for my club team as well as my school team and am a consistent starter for both. 

My coaches see me as a hardworking and diligent individual who is coachable and will take feedback then apply it to my game. My teammates see me as a player who is always working being proactive in and around the midfield. My adaptability, awareness, and passing are the highlights of my game as well as understanding my teammate's style of play. 

In college I would like to pursue an education in business or sports related sciences. After college I would like to become a Physiotherapist/sports psychologist or work in international business in Bermuda. 

I value academics as a student-athlete and always get my work done on time. I am a consistent honor roll student and committed member of my school community. Additionally, I volunteer for service opportunities that benefit my local community.
