My name is Alex Perez and I am a senior at North Scott High School. I am currently in the college search process and I am interested in playing soccer. I have been playing soccer since I was three years old. Soccer is my passion and my favorite sport. I not only enjoy playing it but I spend a lot of time watching it on the television. My favorite pastime is to watch the European league soccer clubs. My favorite team is Real Madrid. I had the opportunity to visit the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium in Madrid Spain a few years ago. It was amazing to be able to witness first hand the stadium where so many of my idols train and play.
I am currently in my club season and preparing to start again with my winter soccer league. I then plan on preparing for the high school season that starts in the Spring. This is my senior year and my goal is to help my team get to state! I have participated in many different soccer tournaments throughout my career in soccer. My BSA (Bettendorf) club team and I participated in many tournaments around the Midwest. We always placed in the top three during our tournaments. I have also attended many local camps and college exposures camps. I attended my first college exposure camp when I was 14 years old at Loyola University.
I would like to major in electrical engineering. I am currently enrolled in physics, pre-calculus and several other college classes. My current GPA is a 2.8. I have not had the opportunity to take the ACT test due to the Covid crisis.
I would like to plan a few college visits this fall and would love to attend any winter soccer clinics that you may have coming up that I could attend in conjunction with a campus visit. I am including a couple of newspaper articles as well as pretty amature highlight videos.
