My collegiate goals and aspirations are to improve in my sport, excel academically, and to feel honored to be at the college I am at. What makes me a unique candidate for a collegiate team is that I will do my best with whatever team I am on, and how I am always open to learning and open to constructive criticism. What makes me different from other athletes is that I listen to my coaches and will do whatever makes my team succeed. In athletics, I am different from other athletes because my team is currently rebuilding and that motivates me to not only better myself, but be a leader for my team. In my academics, I give the same amount of emphasis on my grades as I do with soccer.
What got me interested in soccer was how much excitement I got while I played, and it is the activity I enjoyed the most. What I have learned about myself playing soccer is that I can keep going when I am out of breath and exhausted even if I think I cannot go on, and there are always goals to achieve. My academic goals for high school are to finish with a cumulative GPA of 3.85 or higher. Some obstacles I had to overcome while playing where I am are having to go to places and play with teams where I knew no one, and I fractured my wrist. That has motivated me to become better independently, and to also practice and train more. I am ready for an opportunity to play soccer at the collegiate level.
