Personal Statement

My name is Barrett Kitts and I am a Junior at St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Overland Park, KS (grad year 2023). My GPA is 3.7, and I’m committed to putting in the work in and out of the classroom to be able to continue my education and play high level college soccer.

I just completed my high school soccer season. As a team captain, we went 15-4-1 and finished 3rd in Kansas. I was honored to be selected to All Region (Central), First Team All State, First Team All League, and MVP of our team. I'm excited to start the season with my club team, Kansas City Scott Gallagher Academy ECNL U17 , and play ECNL and in national showcases.

Prior to high school and club soccer, I played for Sporting KC Academy for 2.5 years. Those years were critical to my development as a player and I grew so much as a player and a person. I’m grateful for the time at the Academy, but I made a difficult decision to leave because it was important to me to play for my school.
