I am thankful for this opportunity to present myself. My name is Antonio and I am a Senior at Blue Valley High School in Overland Park, Kansas. I currently play for a local club team Overland Park Soccer Club as a midfielder and a strong forward. I began playing soccer at the age of 4 and have loved every second of it since that day. I have played with a couple of other club teams as I grew and landed here because I enjoy my coach and team very much. What I strive for during soccer games are team communication and coordination, agility and being aggressive no matter which side of the field the ball is on. I ran cross country in middle school and excelled at running distances, so I think that is a strong skill for me when it comes to endurance on the field. I have had to learn how to use my body effectively and am still working on that, because I am typically one of the smaller players on the field. That is something I know that I need more work at. I am not afraid to take tricky shots and have been complimented on my left and right foot shooting. I have been named the "Leone Bomb" for my high school team, and I plan to continue working to be even stronger.
I hope to find a college to attend, where I can play soccer to support my education and subsequent education expenses. I am particularly interested in the state of Florida, because my mom, whom I've been with all along, will be living there beginning summer of 2023. I am not very good at writing about myself, but would be happy to answer questions if I didn't mention something important. Thank you.
