Grayson Nagorka '24 Recruiting Profile

I want to find a great college/university that I can connect with for my major.  Currently looking at an Engineering, Business or Athletic Trainer field of study.  Also want to balance my academic experience with the opportunity to play soccer as a goalkeeper.  

I currently have a 3.45 GPA (weighted) and enjoy all my classes both at the high school and some college level classes from University of Kentucky. I have been a starter for our Danville High School team for both my Sophomore and Junior years.  I had limited playing time my Freshman year.  I also play on the Central Kentucky Strom Travel Team and this year will be my first year playing at the highest level, KPL.  I also will be traveling to Spain in the summer of 2023 to play in an international tournament with the Kentucky All-Stars.  I am a Life Scout and will be completing my Eagle project this summer and hope to finish my Eagle Rank in the Fall of 2023.  

I have participated in sports from a young age, Taekwondo was my first sport and I am a Black Belt.  I believe that the early discipline I learned from Master Kim grounded me to be good at listening and taking direction.  After this I also played Football, Basketball, competed in High School Wrestling, and High School Tennis.  But my true passion is playing goalkeeper for any of the teams that are in season.   

My background with Taekwondo, Soccer and Scouting has really formed a competitive, team oriented character where I have had both the opportunity to be part of a team and lead a team and know the difference of each of those roles.  

Academically, our boys and girls soccer teams have been awarded the High School Team Academic Award by @unitedsoccercoaches! Danville High School was the only school in KY that had both of their boys and girls teams honored.  The boys earned an average GPA of 4.07 and were ranked 1st in the state and 11th in the nation. Our high school soccer program with both girls and boys GPA average was ranked 2nd in the nation.
