Jackson Avery '23 Recruiting Profile

Dear coaches,

My name is Jackson Avery and I am from Lake Charles, Louisiana.  I am currently a sophomore at St. Louis Catholic High.  Since I was 5 years old, I have truly loved the game of soccer. I have played many other sports, and while I enjoy athletics in general, I have always found myself coming back to the game I love most…soccer!   I have always dreamed of playing soccer in college and to one day wear a professional uniform.

I am a good candidate for your team because I excel academically, I am a great teammate, hard worker, and a student of the game.  While I may not be the biggest or fastest player on my team, I can say I make every effort to be the smartest.  Thinking 1, 2 or even 3 moves ahead of my opponent consistently gives me the advantage I need in any game.

I am different because I am very versatile player and can fit in well with almost any offense. I know when to shoot and when to pass, I have great vision and anticipation, and movement off the ball with the ability to take defenders out of the play.  Thank you for your consideration.
