I consider myself a cerebral soccer player instead of a purely physical one. I love the quote from Andrea Pirlo, in which he says “Football is played with the head. Your feet are just the tools”. This is also in line with my 4.0 unweighted GPA as well as the time I have spent working on my game.
With that being said, I am looking for a college that fits me both academically and athletically, so I can be pushed to my full potential as a human being.
In terms of my soccer performance, I am a highly versatile offensive player. For the past two high school seasons, my coach has played me in all sorts of different offensive positions in our unique 3-4-3 formation.
I’m in love with the beautiful game and am more than willing to work further on my soccer skill set and my academic skill set to make my dreams of continuing to play in college come true.
In closing my personal statement, I would like to give credit to my amazing parents who have pushed me to become the person I am today. I would like to thank my dad, who has spent countless hours teaching me important soccer knowledge. Finally, I would like to thank my mom, who has driven me to countless games and made my life the best it could possibly be. Thank you mom and dad.
