What makes me different from other soccer players is my commitment to the game, my resilience towards improvement, and my ability to be a supportive, coachable teammate.
I started playing club soccer when I was around 7 years old. Knowing only some soccer from playing on the playground, I joined a soccer academy in Warsaw in the fall of 2010. Falling in love with the sport, I immediately became completely devoted to improving myself and bettering my skill set. Since then, I've played year-round, attended almost every practice and played in almost every game. If my mom could not drive me, I'd get out my bike and go to practice by myself in the freezing cold. I remember spending several winter practices shoveling snow off the field so that I could still play, despite the weather conditions. I was the youngest on a team that consisted of only players a year or two older than me; we placed 3rd in our state league (Extraliga u-16). Making this team and finding success with them was the highlight of my hard work on and off the field as a developing soccer player.
Between 2015 and 2018 I attended a sports school. On top of daily homework, I also had practice for my club team, and school team. I had 2 or more practices almost every day for three years.
It had always been my dream to go pro, to be one of the greats. I still have the same goal (but maybe not the same dream of playing professional soccer): to be great, and even better than great; to excel completely.
I came to a school in New England from Poland as a sophomore, and since then I've started every game, and recently led the team as a Captain. I also proudly scored the most-goals and had the most-assists as a junior this past season. To complement my school's soccer program in the US, I also take part in a club called DSA United.
I'd like to continue my journey with soccer in college with people that share my enthusiasm, commitment, determination, and passion for the game, while also challenging myself academically.
I take pride in my work ethic and my dedication to the game. I would feel this same sort of fiery passion for whichever team I play on, and whichever school I attend.
