Winter Highlights...Personal Statement
Growing up in Italy, I began playing soccer in the schoolyard, backyards, fields, courts, house and basically anywhere there was flat ground and a ball at my feet. As I continued to play I grew to love the game of soccer and began my way through the Italian youth club system. As I got older, my love for the game continued to grow and I turned my passion into hard work. At the club level I learned the Italian, "No Nonsense" style of defending while also getting the chance to be exposed to the modern team USA style of play through the ODP Europe program and USYS program. Now back in America, I have grown as a leader and captain or hold leadership positions in everything I do. I play for my club team Maryland United ECNL as a left back and center back, but have the ability to play the entire left side of the field (my dominant foot is my left).
