Hello my name is Alberto Morales-Fernandez, I live in Amherst, Massachusetts. I am a junior at Amherst Regional High School and will graduate in 2018. I have been playing soccer since I was in kindergarten at many different levels. In addition to playing soccer I enjoy playing basketball, ultimate frisbee, swimming, and biking.
I am the oldest of three children and going to college is very important to me and my family. My goal is to pursue a career in the sciences. I am a dedicated, hardworking, and respectful person who enjoys spending time with family and friends. During the summer of 2015, I traveled to Germany to play soccer with clubs around the Berlin area. In addition I was a coach for a recreational kindergarten soccer team and have been a referee since I was 13. This past February 2016 school break, while on a trip with my Spanish class, I volunteered at Los Patojos, a school in Guatemala, and did academic work with the children as well as played soccer with them.
My persistent effort, physical and mental capability, my willingness to listen and learn from criticism and feedback make me a prospective player that your college will benefit from-both academically and athletically. I have played many positions throughout my soccer career, however my strongest position is center back. I played this position this past fall for the Varsity soccer team. I also played center back with the FC Massachusetts U14 and U15 team and both seasons we progressed to the division finals.
