My mom says my first word was "ball" and that makes sense because I have always loved throwing and kicking a ball around. I love playing soccer and hope to play at the highest level I can at a highly selective College or University. It is the best feeling to work hard and be on a team where everyone is working toward the same goal. We experienced that "band of brothers" feeling with my Varsity soccer team at Belmont Hill School this past fall. We weren't expected to do well, but through a lot of hard work and grit, ended up having an outstanding season, placing 2nd in the highly competitive Independent School League (ISL). It was tough work, but also a lot of fun to be the winning underdog!
I have good foot skills because I was a field player for most of my playing years and I have good hands from goalie training and also in some part because I've played so much infield baseball and basketball games in my lifetime. I am a natural leader, which is beneficial when you're a goalkeeper and can guide your team from the back of the field. I am a positive person and try to find the good in all situations. I'm highly trainable, very calm under pressure, an encouraging teammate, a hard worker and I also bring all these characteristics to the classroom.
