Soccer has been my passion since I was a kid. Although my first soccer ball was made up of scrab plastic bags, and my first soccer field dirt ground, I enjoyed soccer games with other kids in my neighborhood.
I played in my primary school team and later in my secondary school team in my home country, Cameroon. When I moved to the USA in October 2019 in my sophomore year, the soccer season was almost over. In my junior year, I played both in JV and Varsity during a transitional period and later moved completely to the Varsity team once my coach discovered my potential.
My soccer skills include fast speed, great ball handling and physical stamina. I scored 10 goals during the last soccer season, including a hat-trick in a decisive match that took my team to the state soccer tournament for the first time (to the best of my knowledge). I was one of three players from my school selected among best soccer players in the City of Fitchburg, by a team of coaches and referees who watched our games.
I am coachable, cooperate with my teammates both on the field and out of the field, for the common good of my team. I have also encouraged my teammates including when we don’t win.
Ever since I arrived the USA, my dream has been to get into soccer competition at college level. I am seeking for a college that will offer me an opportunity for higher levels of challenges in both academics and soccer.
