As far as collegiate goals and aspirations are concerned, I am currently interested in studying international business, and double minoring in marketing and communications. However, I have also considered studying English, pre-law, and journalism. I consider myself to be very academically motivated, so I am looking for a school that has engaging and challenging courses, excellent programs (for what I want to study), and a variety of extra-curricular activities. I pride myself on my 3.6 GPA, 1780 SAT score, my rigorous course selections, and my involvement with meaningful community affairs. Undoubtedly, academics will be my main focus/priority in attending college. Lastly, I would prefer to go to a school located in an urban/city setting, due to the close access to internships and other connections that will help me after I graduate, however it is by no means a requirement.
Furthermore, I believe my personality lends well to any serious, competitive, and friendly team environment. I consider myself to be very humorous, but serious and engaged when I need to be; and I have no problem befriending and getting along with new acquaintances. Also, when it comes to practices and games, I always exert my best effort, because I am constantly seeking to improve my skills and keep up with my fellow teammates. Many of the club coaches I've had over the years think very highly of me, given the fact that they can put me almost anywhere on the field (center midfield, outside back, center back, outside mid, even striker) knowing that my agility, speed, and excellent decision-making will benefit the overall dynamic of the game or practice. In addition, I am very humble and my ego level is low, so I take constructive criticism very seriously, and respond with composure and acceptance when I make mistakes. On the field, I find it necessary to communicate constantly with my teammates in order to remain focused at all times, and to correct any mistakes that could be costly. Lastly, soccer is, and I hope it continues to be, one of my main commitments in life. I have been on the highest level team of my club (NEFC) from U9-U18, and have been on my high school varsity team all four years being a captain for my last two.
