I've been playing soccer for 14 years now, from running around on the field at the YMCA to making it all the way to becoming a National Champion 2016 in Colorado for club soccer. Soccer is more than just a sport its a vitamin to me. I play any type of midfield there is but prefer holding mid, my touches are close to my feet and my passes are put right to my players', I can control the field by slowing the game down with simple passes and touches and make the pace of the game change when i have possession. any open opportunity I have to go forward i take and share the ball with my teammates so we get the best results. I'm not a goal scoring machine but when i have the shot i take it and put an equal amount of placement and power on the ball to get the ball in the net. I can take defenders on and feed the ball to wherever there is space and gives the team the best chance to put one in the back of the net. My speed and quickness on the ball is probably what sets me apart i accept balls with ease on ground in the air, whichever, and I can get to any through ball that comes my way, my speed makes me a dangerous asset on the field which is probably one of my best qualities as a player.
I am a captain of my High school team in Mansfield, Massachusetts where we have a good chance of winning the league title and going further into the playoffs than ever before and so far we are off to a great undefeated start. I'm a leader on and off the field and make sure the team is collected and balanced entirely. Some highlights of my Senior year season will be coming in the near future.
In 2016 me and my club team (NEFC) went to Aurora, Colorado for Nationals and played some top quality competition from all over the country. In the championship game i delivered 2 assists for the 2 goals we scored in regulation and when we were tied 2-2 at the end of extra time we went to penalty kicks and scored one of my team's pks which in the end earned us the title of National Champions of U.S. Club Soccer. This season I will play for NEFC 2000 NPL team and we are set to be a great squad.
I aspire to play 4 more years of college soccer because I'm not ready to hang up the cleats just yet and know I have what it takes to be a beneficial player for the team.
