Freshman year I had made varsity all because my brother was a good soccer player so they thought I was too. I actually wasn’t and it was my first year learning how to even play the game the right way. I fought my way out of being on the bench a year way to sophomore year. I had finally started playing and my first game off the bench I started and scored a goal while getting 2 assists. Even through that whole season my coach still told me “you’re on the edge of becoming something special, oh just need to play for a better team, a faster team”. So that year I made it my mission to be what coach wanted me to be and what I wanted to be at the time. I played club ball and I learned that confidence was really key in everything I do. Now as a junior I’m a captain, a starter and I play all game and I try and work hard every game to get the win and help my teammates learn and myself obtain more experience.
