Hi my name is Carlos Alarcon I am 16 years old. The current position I play is striker or midfielder (Cam). I play soccer for the Michigan Tigers club. I also play high school soccer with the Ypsilanti Grizzles.
During my freshman year of high school, when I first started to play, I was on varsity team. I would get around 30 mins of play time or more. This year I am still on the varsity team, I have been a starter and a captain for my high school team. I have played in every game and every minute of the game.
The person who inspired me to play soccer was my dad, he was the one who showed me how to kick and pass the ball. After my dad taught me how to do the basics I began to pick up skills from other players as well as watch soccer matches with my dad, which also helped me because I was learning what they would do.
I am different from other athletes because all I like to do during my free time is play soccer with my friends. I play soccer every day for at least 3-4 hours per day. I barely like to take breaks or when I am playing a game I do not like to be subbed out since I want to play the whole game and it does not matter how tired I am. I would rather still play mad if I am not tired at all.
My goal is to be able to play varsity soccer in college and to continue to follow my dream in trying to play for a high-level in soccer and possibly go professional. If I am able to do that and accomplish my goal it would mean so much to me.
