Hi, My name is Tanner Guidas (pronounced guide-us) I am the keeper for Houghton High School Varsity Club Soccer Team.
In 2019, my Sophomore year, I helped to found our High School’s Soccer Club Team and have played starting keeper for two seasons. This season I also played attacking midfielder for the JV team in order to improve my running and ball handling skills.
Prior to having a High School soccer team, I played 5 years for Copper Country Community Soccer, one of the largest community soccer programs in Michigan. I also coached 7U and refereed for the league.
I started training as goalie my very first year in community soccer. I was the natural selection from a young age based on my height and bigger than average wingspan. (which is currently 6-6")
I have a diverse sports background including baseball, football, basketball, running hurdles, and high jump. I am hoping to find a major that is sports or training related.
I am dedicated, goal driven, and fiercely competitive. I look forward to connecting with coaches and continuing my soccer career into college.
