I've been a team player in the sport of hockey since I was 4 years old. It's what I love to do and I'm good at it. I've played right defense for as long as I can remember and give credit to my abilities through the support of my mom and dad, who have made the extra effort to give me every training and traveling opportunity I've been able to participate in. Whether it be practice in another state (Wisconsin for an AAA team) twice a week, spring breaks spent in hockey rinks, to weekends on the road to another game or tournament, my parents have always supported me.
Now, I'm at an age where I need to look at the future. My mom has always told me "Find something you love to do and make a job around it and every day, you will feel fulfilled." I have great interest in anything mechanical -- building parts, figuring out how motors and parts operate, taking them apart and fixing them -- this all interests me. If I can find an academic avenue that joins my love of hockey with my love of mechanics, I see this as fulfillment.
Why me? I don't give up. I'm coachable and ready to advance. I have much to learn, but bring much to the table in terms of athletic and academic aptitude. I'm smart, humble and work well in a team. Once I find the right fit, you will be hearing my name often.
