When I was younger, I was on a soccer team that went 0-90. Yes, we lost a lot, over ninety games in a row; however, that experience taught me to never give up and to always try my absolute hardest. For a large majority of these games, I played goalie because no one else would - for good reason. In many games, the ball never went past half. Then, I moved to defense until last year as a junior on the varsity team. We started to win once I moved to defense along with the coach's son.
My sophomore year was the first year our school offered varsity soccer. We found (including our coach) that there was a large learning curve having a school team.
*Enough about the past. *
I want to continue my soccer journey by playing in college. I'm looking forward to learning from coaches at the next level. I'm a good student. I've taken Calculus I as a junior at the community college and plan to complete Calculus II and III my senior year. That will give me a good academic start as an engineering major. I feel that I should be able to juggle tough classes with a tough college practice/work out schedule because I have been involved in multiple extracurricular activities simultaneously, while playing soccer, and maintaining a 3.8 GPA in all honors classes.
I love to play soccer. When I'm on the field, I get a feeling that I don't get from anything else. I feel like I know what is going to happen because it is an enclosed system with set variables. I know exactly what to focus on and there aren't any outside distractions. I'm especially good at analyzing things and situations. That translates to field play as well. I communicate well with the other players and most importantly, I listen and follow instructions with enthusiasm. I'm fast and I never give up. I would love to play soccer in college and learn from you.
