Hi, my name is Max Dawson and I have wanted to play soccer in college since I figured out college would be an important component in life. I became super into soccer as I watched the 2010 world cup. Lionel Messi helped me find love for this sport when I was 6 but I started playing at 3 or 4 I just wasn't as committed as I was after that world cup.
I've learned a lot through soccer, like my ability to utilize my speed to an advantage. Soccer has also taught me the power of leadership and responsibility. I have come across some obstacles throughout my career as a young soccer player. A few years ago I injured my left hamstring and I had to modify my training to allow healing and rebuild strength. Secondly it forced me to become more ambidextrous. Another thing I had to overcome was that I moved states 2 times. New school, new town and new soccer teams taught me to be flexible and pen to new situations. It has also taught me to be adaptable to different coaching styles and player formations.
