Ian Herring '23 Recruiting Profile

Soccer has been a huge part of my life since I was little. The sport has given me so much from athletic ability and confidence to great friends in the sport. I have played soccer nearly my whole life and don’t want to give the sport up after high school and dream of playing at the college level however I can and if possible even go to the professional level. I’ve played virtually every position at one point in my life from winger, outside mid, holding mid, keeper, and outside back which is where I currently play. I am very quick to adapt and adjust myself to the opposition at hand and have very good field vision and IQ. When faced with new challenges in the sport I face them head on and I think doing that has helped me off the field a lot too because with school for example when I am faced with something I find hard to understand I make it my top priority to fix and understand what I didn’t in the past. This wonderful sport has done nothing but help me in life as a whole and I never want to give that up.
