Zach Holper '20 Recruiting Profile

"Hard work pays off", I know that statement to be very true. I could not imagine telling my middle-school self that I would be who I am today because of hard work. When I was young, I believed that life would just figure itself out and I would not have to work for much. I would later wake up and realize that you have to work for everything in life. However, it depends on how much you are willing to put in the hard work to achieve those goals that define who you are. I can say that I am the type of person to put in hours, days, months, and years of hard work to achieve my goals. 

I have been extremely blessed to attend Saint Thomas Academy for my high school experience. The all-male, military, college prep and Catholic aspects of the school have helped me define my character and transformed me into the hard worker that I am today. Thanks to the education I received at this school; I have developed leadership skills, a great work ethic, a greater knowledge for the world around me, and many great relationships with the amazing people at STA. All of these skills that I have developed from Saint Thomas Academy are shown whenever I am playing soccer. 

Every practice and game I go in with a new work ethic. I am always trying my best to improve my game in any way that I can. I also do whatever I can to help my team succeed because I believe that team success is much greater than personal success. I give 110% in every drill that I do because that is something I have to do in order to help the team succeed. I also watch out for my teammates and support them 24/7 because I know that when they fall down, I will be there to pick them back up and vice versa. I have loved the game of soccer since I was little playing on little PUG nets, and I want to be able to play the game I love while working hard to get a great education at the college level.
