I was first interested in soccer when I was 4 when my dad signed me up for the recreational soccer team. I played on the recreational team for 4 years in which after that I joined a travel team. I was with that travel team for 6 years in which we made the Minnesota state championship 3 times and won once. After those six years I moved clubs to increase my skill level and have a better opportunity to play at the next level. I moved to Alchemy in where those two years has completely changed me as a player and student, I realized that my grades in middle school would not cut it to make a college team, so I started working hard in school to improve my grades. My GPA has gone up since middle school and I have taken 3 AP classes and have passed 2 tests and I am on track to take my third AP test this May.
My goal is to have a successful college soccer career and to start on the first team. I think I am a good candidate because I am easily coachable because I can accept and adjust to feedback or criticism without getting down or having it affect my game. I am currently a captain on my team and have led my team both on and off the field with the saying “it’s not about me” that I learned from my high school football coach. I am not the best academically at the moment but I am working really hard to improve that aspect of my high school career so I can be successful academically in my college career.
