I currently live in Excelsior, MN and attend Minnetonka High School. I started playing golf when I was 6 years of age and instantly fell in love with the game. I joined the Minnetonka High School Varsity team in 7th grade, and have played four years on the varsity golf team consecutively. My golf tournament scoring average is 77.6 and most courses I competed at this year are mostly over 5,800 yards. I have played in the state tournament multiple times and I have always finished in the top 20. My class ranking is 1. I recently shot 71 and won the Holy Family Invitation Tournament, placing first individually out of 70 girls. I was named to the All Conference team in my eighth grade, freshmen, and sophomore years consecutively in high school golf. I was awarded the MVP title by Minnetonka Girls Golf Team.
Beside my golf achievements, I currently have a 4.43 GPA (weighted) and 3.95 GPA (unweighted). I just took my first ACT and scored 34. In addition, I took two AP exams in my sophomore year and I scored 5 in both of them (AP US History and AP Calculus). I always have been among the top students in my class.
I am the Co-Founder and Assistant Executive Director of Golf For Good, a non-profit organization that dedicates to teach the game of golf to children with cancer and other medical conditions. Our volunteers also serve as mentors to these less fortunate children, teaching them life important values such as honesty, respect and sportsmanship. We have hosted a series of golf camps these past two years and have had great success since we launched the program.
I want to play college golf and have dedicated myself to this goal. I understand the sacrifice that it takes. I work very hard in my game and have learned to study while playing at the elite level of in high school golf.
