2023 Spotlight #2
2023 SpotlightWhat makes me different from other recruits I take all opportunities given to me seriously. After being in Spain for 2 years, I decided to come back home and finish my high school senior year with my friends. Over the last 2 years I learned to be independent mentally and emotionally. Coming back was a bit of a challenge not in terms of school as I have all my credits and have received all As in my last semester, but soccer has been a new adaptation different style of plays but same passion. I was fortunate enough to get recruited by Ocelot Academy, they are professional agents and scouts and I've been with them for 5 months now. Being in high school soccer and in the academy requires the same amount of discipline as I was used to in Spain, I train with the high school 5 days plus games and my academy requires us to attend training as well 3x a week. Once season for high school is over we will train 5x a week with the academy. I can only pray this can open up new doors for me. I received a recognition from The Real Federacion de Futbol Madrid while playing with the Cadete A in 2023-2024. Playing in Spain has thought me to be more independent, resilient and perseverance, its a very competitive environment and it reminds me of how nothing comes easy. Being home has thought me how to incorporate myself back into an environment that has changed from the last time I was here in the States. Overall I think I have build a stronger character and love for soccer and others.
