Fall of 2023 I accepted an offer to play for East Mississippi Community College (EMCC) to begin my college career. I am beyond grateful and excited for this opportunity to see where this journey takes me.
I change the field dynamics when I step on the pitch, per my high school soccer coach, earned me Defensive MVP as a junior and senior, which is a huge accomplishment at my high school. My high school coach said the entire team's attitude changes when I join them after football concludes and that I'm his true leader out there. I feel my can do positive attitude keeps my team up beat and ready to play, which is a reason why you should consider making me part of your soccer family. Being a dual sport athlete has been difficult at times, but I wouldn’t change it for anything. Playing high school football and soccer while playing club soccer all at the same time keeps me busier than ever, especially since my select soccer team is two states away from home. My primary position has been a center back for more than 10 years but I have played outside back and defensive midfield when needed and am looking forward to stepping into a new position as striker this club season when the front line needs help.
Playing soccer and football are rewarding to me because I see myself improving with every practice, workout, and game. It makes me feel better as a person to stay engaged and active. Me and my brothers on all my teams strive to keep each other motivated and reaching for the win, it’s what makes us better as individuals and as a team, on and off the field. The best feeling walking off the pitch is to see that goose egg on the opponent’s side of the scoreboard, it means I successfully did my job as a center back.
I have played club soccer since I was nine years old trying to fulfill my longtime dream of seeing my name on a college roster and stepping out on that pitch at the next level. I would love it more than anything to be given the opportunity to continue to play soccer in college while I work towards my college degree.
