Ever since I started playing soccer at 4 years old, I have always taken steps to try and make it to the highest level of soccer that I can, and playing at a highly competitive college program is a goal that I am striving to accomplish. If I am successful at the college level, I also aspire to continue my career and potentially play professionally, although I realize that the odds of making it on a professional roster are very low.
I am a great team leader, leading by example but also by communication. I am a two-footed player with good passing vision and range, who always looks to progress the ball with line-splitting passes. I am also an excellent 1v1 defender with good strength and speed. And although centerback is my primary position, I have played every position across the entire back line in both back four and back three formations. I have also played as a midfielder. I am very coachable and hard worker, striving to be the hardest working player on every team that I play on. Furthermore, I try to attend every skills camp and extra training that I can get to, including regular athletic performance training.
Turning to the classroom, I work very hard and pride myself in sustaining a high GPA, as well as maintaining good relationships with all of my teachers. I also push myself academically, taking a difficult course load that includes AP courses, honors courses, and foreign language classes.
Ultimately, I want to join a college where I can challenge myself not only on the field but also in the classroom. I do not have a strong preference as to where I attend. I simply want to find a college that can help me achieve my athletic, academic, and career goals. In conclusion, I aspire to find a college in which I thrive and can continue to play soccer competitively following my high school career.
