I have been involved in athletics since Kindergarten, playing three sports a year - basketball, baseball and soccer. At the beginning of my sophomore year, one week before playing our first game, my coach asked if I would be interested in trying out at goalkeeper. The coach said that he watched me as a freshman being a part-time starter on the varsity soccer team and also being a starter on both the varsity basketball and varsity baseball teams. I won the starting GK job and started both my sophomore and junior years. I have decided to continue playing in goal after being told by other coaches that I have a chance to continue playing at the next level.
I am looking forward to continuing my athletic career after high school as a goalkeeper. I have continued to work to improve myself in school, currently carrying a GPA of 3.5, and personal training to improve my GK skills and overall strength. I am also looking forward to the next life step of being a college student-athlete as I believe the combination of student and athlete will give me the full experience I am looking for.
