Personal Statement
I am a good candidate because not only am I am true competitor on and off the field, I have a work ethic is is like no other. I work as hard as I can both academically and athletically. Also, I am an athlete that plays all sports at a very high competitive level. I made Team NB for both Soccer and Football and also made the Team NB Allstar Baseball team, the NB Top 40 for Basketball and have played several years of AA Hockey. In each of my sports I am known for my speed and hard work. Coaches love having me on their team as I give it my all every game and practice in all my sports. I have exceptional endurance from my extensive training over the years, often having multiple sports on the same day. This is a huge advantage in game situations, as I can out perform my competitors, as they get fatigue throughout the games.
Soccer Summary: I have been playing soccer since I was 2 years old, AAA for the past 8 years. I can play all positions on the field but my two main spots are striker and right back. I usually move around during games depending on the team we are playing. I have been awarded defensive player of the year for as many years as I can think back but my coaches also use me up in striker or mid if they need help up on offence.
Numerous awards over the years -MVP awards, Hardest worker, player of the game, Hustler of the game, captain.
STM Varsity soccer -We have made it to the provincial championships the past 3 years at STM, Southern Conference champions, Regional Champions, silver medal at provincials.
I was nominated for MVP in all 3 grades so far. (9,10 and 11)
AAA soccer (SJ Soccer and Fundy United) we were the silver and bronze medalists at the provincial championships the past couple of years.
Team NB – I have been attending their fall and winter programs the past 3 seasons.
I was also selected to be a member of the Saint John High Performance Soccer Academy.
I am known to be the fastest player on the field, but also for my endurance, work ethic and sportsmanship. I am a true competitor. It doesn’t matter if it is a game or a practice, I give it my all every time I am on the field.
