2023 SpotlightAt 5 years old, I started playing recreational soccer. Playing with my friends and being part of a team was something I thoroughly enjoyed. In my early middle school years, I was placed in goal, and I knew I had found my position. At every opportunity, I attended training camps and joined a travel team to play at a higher level. I received my Varsity letter in my freshman year at my high school. In looking to be part of tournaments and showcase games, I then joined a club team and further challenged myself.
I am a strong and agile goalkeeper. My ability to stay calm and make quick decisions is important. I am coachable and take all coaching positive and negative as a chance to grow and become an improved player. I am continually working on my leadership skills as well as strengthening my mental game. My responsibility to my team is to be the most competitive goalkeeper I can be. It is important to me to continually improve knowing that my behavior, attitude, and work ethic directly reflect my team, my school, my family and myself.
For the past few years, I have committed to year-round training. I participate in other high school sports like track and field and swim team. Outside of school I enjoy downhill skiing and competitive archery to contribute to my physical and mental athleticism. Every season, I participate in training camps and league play to stay on my game.
In the classroom, I am a strong academic student who is organized and works hard. All my eligible classes are on the honor level, and I maintain a 4.0 GPA. While attending middle school, I received several academic awards and received the Good Citizen Award for both my 7th and 8th grade years.
I am currently researching colleges to find the right match and am open to all possibilities. My current interests are Biology with a possible future in the Bio Medical Engineering field.
