I only started running my Freshmen year, but quickly fell in love with the sport. After running cross country, I was disappointed that our school did not offer a spring track program. So after discussing it with the school board and my parents, I was able to get our school to have a spring track program. I am currently working on getting more people to join our running programs and raising money for more equipment for track.
Along with running, I also maintain my grades as I know the importance of academics. My Sophomore year I was invited to join our extended learners program, and scored in the top 1% of Sophomores on the CogAT. I continue to strive for academic excellence as well as athletic.
