Hafiz Hussein '22 Recruiting Profile

    Ever since I was a young child I always had an immense passion for soccer. Since I learned how to walk, my father always took me to the park to kick around with him. My father played professionally in Ghana and I gain my talent and skills from him. I have the work ethic, drive, and determination to be the best. I wake up early to go for runs, workout, and work on certain aspects of my game because I know everyone else my age is sleeping. When it's cold out or raining I still go to the field because I know that I have a goal that I want to achieve. This is what I learned from my parents. My parents sacrifice and work so hard for me and my brothers, that it inspires me to also work hard. My father gave up soccer to come to the US to give his children a better life. For that, I work hard to one day repay my parents for all they have done for me.  I've played club soccer since the fourth grade and I have continued to work and go up in the ranks. I made my high school Varsity team as a Freshman and became a starter as a Sophomore through determination and hard work.  Even with all the time I invest in soccer, I have managed to maintain good grades throughout school. I have been able to maintain a 3.8 GPA, be an honor roll student consistently, take all Honors and AP classes, and I was in the National Juniors Honors Society. Just like I give one hundred percent in the classroom, whenever I step on the field I give one hundred percent as well. I know that I have the talent to become a great soccer player one day. However, I know that talent is not enough, which is why  I work hard because I know I can and will accomplish my dreams of being the best player than I can become. That is what separates from any other player who wants to be recruited. I have the desire, the drive, tenacity, and determination to achieve any goals that I put in my sight.
