     I am a mature, academically-motivated student athlete. In attending an extremely competitive high school, I have learned how to thrive in a unforgiving, college-like environment. I constantly pursue knowledge in the math and science disciplines, which is why I am seeking a college that will aid me in achieving my academic goals as well as my life long goal of playing college soccer. I believe that my ability to be a quick learner and efficient adapter has transferred onto the field and has allowed me to develop a clear understanding of the game of soccer. With fast learning, my high work ethic also is shown when I am playing. In addition, I am an unselfish player who values a team goal as much as an individual goal. By putting the team's success in front of my own, I provide a positive atmosphere for my teammates. I consider myself well respected and well liked on and off the field, which means I would be able to positively affect any team I am placed on. In terms of soccer, I value my ability to be a strong target player. I know when to hold up the ball in order for my team to provide attacking support and get up the field, or when to take the ball myself and try to create a chance. My tall stature and natural athletic ability allows me to hold off defenders and be an aerial option in the box. All in all, I can be an asset in the classroom and on the field. Not only can I benefit your academic program, but I can also be a weapon on your soccer team.
