My name is Joshua Spurlin and I am a member of the 2024 graduating class at New Milford High School in New Jersey. I play for Future SA_05 2005 in the National League and New High School. I have been playing soccer since I was 5 years old and I hope to continue playing at the collegiate level. My primary position is Centerback, but I also play Outside Back and Center Defensive Mid at times.
I am a team player and I bring leadership, dedication, speed, fitness and size to complement my team in defensive roles. On the point of leadership, I enjoy motivating my teammates and being vocal during game play, as I am well positioned to see open players up the field when we take over possession. I stay active during the off-season with camps, personal soccer coaching, running and weight lifting. I also enjoy track and basketball.
In addition to my athletic pursuits, my scholastic endeavors are very important to me. I have maintained high marks so far in my schooling and looking to make honers. I have a goal to become and Engineer and I hope I can find college opportunities that combine a competitive soccer program with a high level college education.
