My name is Luca Morello and I attend Newton High School. My goal is to attend a college where I will study Communications, specifically Broadcasting and Journalism and earn a degree. Along with this, I want to attend a college that I can play soccer for and be successful in doing so. I have played soccer since I was the age of four. This all started when my dad and I would go in the backyard and try all sorts of sports. After doing so we discovered soccer was my best fit. From there on my father and I bonded over soccer and we would go to the local park and just practice and play. From the age of four to now, I would say soccer has shaped me and made me into the person I am today. It helped me in many ways. Examples of this are, I have become confident, learned how to work together with others, and understand the feeling of brotherhood and what you can achieve with it.
Outside of soccer I participate in several activities. I am a member of the Unified Track Team at Newton High School. This is a track and field team made up of students with and without disabilities who participate in relays and team events that are featured in the average Track and Field Meet. I also participate in the Best Buds Club, which is a club where students with disabilities interact with students without disabilities to complete several tasks and activities. Finally, I am a member of the Student Council and Spanish Club.
