From a young age, I have been taught to work hard and never give up. When I began my soccer career at the age of 4, I played on my local recreational team. At a young age, I used to work harder than anyone on the team. That trait has stayed with me throughout my entire career to this day. I have worked with many coaches in my life, including my father who is probably the one who has taught me the most. I spend many hours on the field practicing whenever possible and working to perfect my skills to grow as a player. Also, when I am not on the field, I work with my father on the tactical side of the game; learning about my position and how to improve my gameplay going forward. In addition, I work very hard as a student. Being an all honors student has been my greatest priority in school. I strive to perfection and to be the best I can be. But, if it wasn't for my hard work, and studying on my own, I would have never been in the position I am in now. I have learned the correct way to approach my school work and I know how to organize it correctly so it does not interfere with soccer. Also I know how to manage my time wisely so soccer does not interfere with school work. Therefore, from a young age, I was taught the importance of time management and giving all I can to everything I do on and off the field. School and soccer performances never interfered with each other and never will.
Continuing on, growing as a player has been the best part of my life. The dedication and hard work put in throughout all the years is finally paying off. I am a part of TSF Academy and playing in the MLS league. This is the highest possible league in the country for my age group. My great leadership skills during practices and games has led me to become a captain of my team. This great responsibility was handed to me by my coach and even in the hardest games, I always try to motivate my teammates to try and play the best they can. Throughout the games, I do not stop communicating with my teammates and I have earned the respect from them due to this trait. I have been told by many that my character has made me become a good communicator and an easy person to speak with. It is crucial to be able to communicate with teammates for the success of the team.
To conclude, my growth in the 4 aspects of the game, which are technical, tactical, mental, and physical, have all grown throughout the years. Now, playing on this very high level and competing with the best players in the country, has allowed me to grow in all 4 of the fields. I would love to continue my career playing competitive college soccer. I would also love to continue my education, which is as important to me as soccer, in a highly reputable and selective university or college. With the combination of both, my hard work as a student and my hard work on the soccer field, I would definitely be a competitive candidate for the college of my choice. Planning to pursue my dream to study medical sciences in college is not an easy journey, but with my characteristics, I know I can do an amazing job. Playing soccer simultaneously would enable me to reach all of my goals and to encourage others to do the same.
