Personal Statement

Throughout my life, I have had many aspirations.  However, none of those aspirations are as large as to play soccer at the most competitive levels possible.  This goal of mine has developed me into a very motivated, skilled and team orientated player.  My motivation is one of my strongest qualities.  I have a constant motivation to improve and make me the best version of me.  I started to play soccer roughly 6 years ago.  Within these 6 years, I have created a passion for the game.  I love the game of soccer and I can't see myself doing anything else.  My passion for soccer is extraordinarily strong.  Along with a motivation and passion for soccer, I have the same passion and motivation for academics.  The importance of academics has been part of my life for as long as I can remember.  My Mom has always told me academics are just as, if not more, important than sports.  Being raised by a single mother has made me into the passionate and motivated person I am today.  My future career path is still up in the air.  Although, I would prefer to be either a Financial Analyst or to be involved in the world of business.

  • 2017-2018 New York West Olympic Development Team - Indoor Training
  • 1 year
  • Players are selected on the basis of open tryouts. These tryouts are conducted by state association coaches who are recognized for their ability to identify and train players with superior skills. Some state associations combine scouting techniques and invitations to certain players with the open tryouts. Selection of these players is not an easy task. The state association staff will, in most cases, seek the help of other qualified coaches from the club or league level, in identifying the best players. Players are evaluated on the four components that make up a soccer player: Technique Tactics Fitness and Athletic Ability Psychological Component (attitude)

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
