As a soccer player, my strength is my size. When you look at my highlight tape you can see that I am good in the air but I am not a one-dimensional player. I see the field well and love to combine with my teammates. I love every aspect of soccer; training, playing and watching. I always want to improve. I self evaluate all the time and work on my weaknesses. When I go on the field, whether as a starter or a sub my goal is to make a difference in the game. Through the years my coaches have said I am very coachable and have complimented me on my work ethic.
This year my team went all the way to the championship. It wasn't easy though. We had a lot of talent but didn't work as a team. When the playoffs started we really began to play as a unit. It made a huge difference and I learned that the team is stronger than the individuals.
Academics are important to me and I work hard to balance my soccer with my school work. Getting good grades is great but just like in soccer I like the journey. I enjoy learning new concepts and applying them to my work. I am interested in a variety of subjects and have not really settled on what I want to focus my college studies on yet.
